If you have made it to my page you may have some interest in public service. Whether you are a woman in the military, a fire fighter, or in law enforcement in some way. Maybe your husband or boyfriend is in one of these fields and your interested in learning more, or getting creative ideas. Either way, you have made it to the right place. I am brand new to blogging, and I will eventually get to a blog all about me and what brought me here today. I am in all of the above career fields and let me tell you, IT IS NOT EASY!
My goal here is to create tips and advice for you to follow your dreams in these career fields. Along with fun, cute, and creative ideas. With everything I have done I have met thousands of women who have shared their stories with me and we all learned to help each other up, instead of helping each other out of the agency. That is all I want to do, help you learn and grow and help you see what the best path is for you, and answer your questions along the way.
You've made it this far, and if you're interested in this line of work, YOU ARE SPECIAL and you have certain qualities that very few people have and even less women. But this is not just for women. I am here for anything related to public service. I am so excited to start this journey with you, and I know I will make mistakes along the way. As a matter of fact, that is lesson numero uno. Do what you want and what you love and don't be afraid to make mistakes along the way.

If you're a woman in public service, IE: Law Enforcement, Fire Fighter, Military etc. you will have at least one story of someone being utterly shocked at "How different you look" outside of your uniform. This has happened to me dozens of times, the most recently being while down at Fort Rucker in Alabama for my boyfriend's Warrant Officer Candidate school graduation or (WOC). As always with these military events, we had a social and whilst eating hor d'oeurve's my boyfriend Andy, introduced me to his classmate, and his mother and father. Five Must Haves in your Patrol Car As a woman in Law Enforcement it can be difficult to feel good when you're stuck in a patrol car every day, your hair is greased back into a tight bun, your vest is suffocating you, and your boots are tight tightly. I joke with my friends about what is the best part of coming home? Taking your hair down, your vest off, or your boots? A patrol car is our office, and in some cases we share cars or have partners. In some cases we get lucky and get assigned our own take home car which is great! You are the only one who drives it and you keep it clean. But, when you're swapping seats you tend to sit in some filth, which leads me to item number 5. 5. Clorox bleach wipes- I don't have room in my bag to cart around a giant container so this small pack is great for wiping down my car before I get in. Work hard, play harder

Today in the Midwestern region the temperature is about 30 degrees, which is considerably warmer than what we are expecting in the next few days. The forecast is calling for approximately -30 with the wind chill. Brrrr…… Fortunately, my boyfriend and I are capable of working hard and saving our money so that we can get away for a little while.  Andy and I have had an all inclusive vacation to Jamaica booked about six months ago and it could not have come at a more perfect time. Both of us are in the law enforcement field and the time we spend on the road and trying to keep everything together can be down right exhausting. There are times when our bodies don't want to get out of bed, but our willpower must be stronger. Vacations like these are what everyone in public service related jobs needs in order to rejuvenate.
